Filming today at the pub went well! We got all of the shots that were needed and it didn't take too long at all.
We were worried that the lighting might be too bright as we filmed around midday, but the pub had a darker area which we were able to use so hopefully we won't have to change too much during post production.
I bought drinks from the bar to use as props, and there were plenty of tables and chairs around us too. There was also a conveniently placed light above the table that we had chosen meaning that we didn't have to use the lighting equipment we brought with us.
Luckily it wasn't too busy at that time of day, so we were undisturbed while we filmed. However we are going to add every day bustling sounds in the background such as plates and glasses clattering to make the busy pub setting more believable.
We did encounter one problem however. There was music playing throughout the pub, meaning that when we did our shot reverse shots the music would be at different stages in the song on each cut. We overcame this by using microphones and placing them next to our actresses so that we could use the audio that they picked up instead of what the camera did.

Good discussion about sound. Perhaps you could add a sound file here to illustrate? Photo of mics? Have you listened to the footage now? Comment on whether you have resolved the problem.
